Federal court appeal by famed jeweler Henry Dunay, against company that bought his trademarks in bankruptcy, now in full swing

Posted by Charles Colman

You may remember this story.  (Or maybe not.)  But the possible appeal mentioned in the linked article is now a reality, brought by Charles Colman Law, PLLC, on behalf of a venerable jeweler, Mr. Henry Dunay, against the company that bought his trademarks in a 2009 bankruptcy auction

The initial appellate documents have been filed and can be viewed below and on Scribd.com.  The good stuff starts on the third page -- and by good stuff, I mean a rather opaque, lawylerly discussion of subject-matter jurisdiction, motions to vacate, standards of review, and more!  The "better" stuff, which begins at page 41 of 76 (per Scribd's pagination, in the lower-right-hand corner), tells the story of what transpired prior to my firm's involvement in the case.  Check back with LAW OF FASHION for periodic updates...
